My internship days at DYAB 1512, ABS-CBN has finally come into an end. Parting ways may be the hardest thing to do but as a famous premise says, “Nothing is permanent; everything must come into an end”. Some says, it only takes 2 weeks to form a routine and more than that is a lifetime habit. My stay at DYAB was really a habit for me.
I have been used to coming to station every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays and look forward to the tasks that will be assign to me. DYAB provided me so many opportunities that once in my life, I did not imagine to happen. I have recognized by my neighbors as part of DYAB. Some of our local officials in Cordova are putting pressures on my shoulder, they even ask me to cover some events because they have known that I have been part of the most trusted news organization.
And who would have thought that I was one of those luckiest people to be able to cover and witness the honorary rites of the new Cebu archbishop Jose Palma. I can’t also forget my coverage during the Traslacion or the transferring of the image of Snr. Sto. Nino from Talisay City to Saint Joseph National Shrine Parish. My temper and patience was tested because at the very last minute before the image of Snr Sto. Nino arrived, my senior reporter back out for the coverage because of his health problem. Although it disappoints me but I know my DYAB family is just testing me if I can handle the situation. i had the most memorable field coverage during the Sinulog 2011. I was there when the rain poured during the Sinulog sa Kabataan-Dakbayan and Lalawigan. I did enjoy the company of Ms. Carmi Cavanlit during our coverage for the Sinulog 2011 Grand Mardi Gras were the two of us had the chance to bond under the rain and along the street of Fuente OsmeƱa.
There are a lot more memorable experiences that I have encountered. But I don't have the privileged of time to unfold it all. One thing I am sure of, those memoirs are keep within me throughout my existence.
